Our History

Cribbs Kitchen opened in 2009 in downtown Spartanburg, SC, on Spring Street by Chef and founder William Cribb.

The Cribb family, originating as peach farmers in the Upstate area, fostered a reputation of festive gatherings and generous hospitality.  William worked passionately alongside his team to bring the delicious ideals of amazing food, good wine, and rich discussion to life.  A once small restaurant quickly became a culinary heartbeat of Spartanburg based on family values of the Cribb's dining table.

After several successful years on Spring Street, William was introduced to fellow local business owner, Raj Patel.  The two entrepreneurs shared a vision of growth and development for the concept they jokingly referred to as a “Pop & Pop” venture.  They soon welcomed guests into the new Cribbs Kitchen on July 14, 2011.  This flagship location, just a few blocks from the original, remains a cornerstone of the Spartanburg downtown food scene.

After more than ten years in business, Cribbs Kitchen continues to thrive.  Their strong sense of culture and community involvement allows Cribb's Kitchen to progress in future endeavors.  As the company adds new locations and expands its family, what was true in the beginning remains true today:

There is always room for one more at the Cribbs Kitchen table.
